A Prosody London bespoke perfume commission is about creating something that expresses yourself. Every fragrance is composed entirely from 100% botanical materials, including rare enfleurage extractions, state-of-the-art CO2-extracted florals, and the highest quality agarwood. This isn’t simply a scent matched to your taste — it’s a fragrance built to reflect your aspirations and dreams, the parts of yourself you rarely say out loud, in a way natural luxury bespoke perfume can and almost nothing else can.

There are fragrances you wear. And then there is the fragrance that is entirely, irrevocably yours.

The Prosody Bespoke Experience is a commission conceived by a working perfumer — built from scratch around your life, your skin, and the invisible impression you wish to leave on the world. Composed by Kershen Teo, it is one of the most personal luxury objects it is possible to own.

BEspoke perfume, The Journey — Seven Weeks to twelve weeks

Week 1 — Consultation One

We meet to explore two distinct pathways simultaneously: your Scent Memory and your Astrological profile.

Weeks 2 & 3 — Development Phase

Six compositions are created in the Prosody London studio. Three from your Scent Memory. Three from your Astrological profile.

Week 4 — Consultation Two

Your six compositions are shipped to you. We meet to discuss first impressions. You take time to live with each one.

Weeks 5 & 6 — Living With Your Fragrance

You wear each composition across different moments — morning and evening — observing how each fragrance develops on your skin, how it lasts, and how it makes you feel.

WEEKS 7–12 — CONSULTATION THREE & REFINEMENT

Your favourite of the six compositions is chosen. Three tweaked versions are then created — dialling elements up or down based on what you responded to — so you can smell the differences directly and choose the balance that feels most like you. You take as much time as you need at this stage. Once the final version is signed off, you name your fragrance — your own name, or something entirely your own you may wish to develop commercially in future. Production begins immediately, with three weeks of maceration. Delivery within 60 days of sign-off.

BEspoke perfume, Pathway One — Scent Memory

Your past, composed in botanical form.

Memory and scent share the same neural pathway — the olfactory bulb connects directly to the hippocampus and amygdala. This service works with that connection deliberately. You surface the fragrances, places, people, and moments that have shaped you.

Three original compositions are then developed, each one a new articulation of that emotional territory — not a copy of what you remember, but a botanical translation of what it meant.

Step 1 — Your memory consultation

We explore the scent signatures that have moved you most — a grandmother’s kitchen, a first city, a vanished lover’s skin. No perfume knowledge required. We ask the questions.

Step 2 — Botanical interpretation

From your responses, three distinct emotional directions are identified. Each is mapped to Prosody London’s botanical palette — raw materials, accords, and structural ideas that speak to the same sensory and psychological register.

Step 3 — Three original compositions

Each fragrance is developed as a finished botanical composition. You receive samples, tasting notes, and the story of each one — where it began in your memories, and where it arrived.

BEspoke perfume, Pathway Two — Astrological

Your chart, rendered in botanical materials.

For millennia, plants and planets were understood to be in direct correspondence. Ancient physicians, perfumers, and alchemists assigned specific botanicals to each planet — rose to Venus, cedarwood to Saturn, frankincense to the Sun — and used these materials to work with the qualities those planets governed: love, longing, grounding, illumination.

This service revives that tradition through a rigorous, modern botanical lens. Your full natal chart — sun, moon, rising, and the planetary placements that define your character — maps the ingredients, structures, and emotional registers that your three compositions will be built from.

Step 1 — Your natal chart

You share your birth date, time, and place. A full chart is drawn: sun sign, moon sign, rising sign, and the dominant planetary influences across your houses.

Step 2 — Planetary botanical mapping

Each dominant planet is matched to its classical botanical correspondences — then filtered through Prosody London’s ingredient palette. The three strongest influences become the three compositional directions.

Step 3 — Three original compositions

Each fragrance is developed around one planetary influence — its key botanical materials, its emotional intention (abundance, attraction, clarity, grounding, protection), and its traditional purpose in the ancient scent tradition.

BESPOKE PERFUME — WILDCRAFTED & RARE INGREDIENTS

The Bespoke Perfume Experience draws on a reserve of wildcrafted and rare ingredients that sit entirely outside the Prosody London main collection — materials so limited in annual supply, and so labour-intensive in their extraction, that they cannot be committed to a permanent range. They exist here, and only here.

These include wildcrafted botanicals harvested from their natural habitat at peak potency, rare floral absolutes — tuberose, gardenia, osmanthus — among the most costly raw materials in perfumery, and CO2-extracted florals whose cold-process precision captures dimensions of a living flower that steam distillation cannot reach.

Each of these ingredients is used to develop original tinctures and accords built specifically for your commission — layers of complexity, depth, and presence found nowhere else in the Prosody London range — or anywhere else in the world.

This is one of the defining differences between a bespoke perfume commission and any fragrance that can be bottled at scale.

YOUR PERSONAL PHEROMONE ACCORD

The oldest dimension of human attraction, composed for you alone.

For clients who wish to explore it, the Bespoke Experience offers the opportunity to work with a small, carefully considered palette of classical animalic ingredients — materials that have been central to perfumery for centuries precisely because of their profound effect on human skin and human response.

Every ingredient in this palette has been selected not only for its olfactory complexity but for the ethics of its sourcing. Where animal-derived materials are used, we work only with those whose harvesting is karma-neutral — ingredients obtained without harm, without captivity, and without the exploitation of the creature that produced them.

Ambergris is the foremost example: formed naturally within the sperm whale and found floating freely on the ocean, it is harvested by those who discover it, not those who hunt for it. Gram for gram, it trades at the price of gold — and its effect on a fragrance, and on skin, is without parallel in the natural world.

Your personal pheromone accord is developed as a private layer within your finished composition — an invisible signature, registered more than consciously perceived.

A NOTE ON AGARWOOD

For clients who choose the In Person or At Your Location experience, one further dimension becomes available. Agarwood — the resinous heartwood formed when the Aquilaria tree responds to infection, producing one of the most complex aromatic substances in the natural world — exists across a vast spectrum of quality.

The finest grades, known as kinam or kyara, are rarer than diamonds and more contested than gold; a single kilogram can command six figures, and genuine examples are held by fewer than a handful of collectors and traders worldwide. In the Prosody London studio, working with this material is not a transaction — it is an encounter.

We source only from trusted provenance, work only with material of verified origin, and offer access to grades that have no place in commercial perfumery because commercial perfumery has no access to them.

To smell kinam-grade agarwood for the first time is to understand, immediately and without explanation, why it has been the most coveted aromatic substance on earth for three thousand years. This exploration is available only within the in-person journey.
