‘The traditional way of choosing a fragrance was to head to the perfume counter; scan the array of bottles, and look for the “mens” or “womens” fragrances. This very direct style of classification was a perfume company’s dream because it very neatly directed us to the “correct” gender of scent. The idea of pink and blue fragrances is deeply rooted in our history but if we stop and think about it, why can’t a man wear flowers?’
