This page explains the small files (cookies) and similar browser storage that prosodylondon.com uses, what each one is for, and how you can control them. The site is run by Prosody London Kit Limited. We keep this short and honest: we do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not sell or share your browsing with advertisers.
Essential cookies
These make the shop work, so they don’t need your consent. Without them your basket, checkout and account wouldn’t function.
| Name | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|
| woocommerce_cart_hash, woocommerce_items_in_cart | Remember what’s in your basket | Your visit |
| wp_woocommerce_session_… | Keeps your basket and checkout together as you move around the site | 2 days |
| wordpress_logged_in_…, wordpress_sec_… | Keep you signed in to your account | Your visit, or 14 days if you tick “remember me” |
| wfwaf-authcookie-… | Security (Wordfence), for signed-in users only | 12 hours |
| __stripe_mid, __stripe_sid | Set by Stripe at checkout to prevent card fraud | 1 year / 30 minutes |
| PayPal cookies | Set by PayPal only if you choose to pay with PayPal | Set by PayPal |
| pl_consent | Remembers whether you accepted or rejected analytics cookies, so we don’t ask every time | 6 months |
We also use your browser’s own storage (not cookies) for things you ask for: your “Saved” list of perfumes and the “back to Scent Finder” button. This stays on your device and is never sent to us unless you choose to email or share your list.
Analytics cookies (only if you accept)
If you tap Accept, we use Google Analytics and WooCommerce’s order-source cookies to understand, in aggregate, how people use the site: which pages are read, how visitors find us and where the site could be clearer. Advertising features are switched off. If you tap Reject, none of these are set and Google Analytics is not loaded at all.
| Name | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google Analytics: tells one visit apart from another | 2 years |
| _ga_R6QT2PNYW8 | Google Analytics: keeps a visit together | 2 years |
| awca_ga4_session_id | Links an order to its Google Analytics visit, so sales are counted correctly | Your visit |
| sbjs_… | WooCommerce: remembers how you found us (for example a search or Instagram), so we know which channels bring orders | Your visit to 6 months |
Other services on the site
Our newsletter sign-up form is provided by Sender, and our share buttons link to Facebook, X, Pinterest, Instagram and TikTok. Those services only receive information if you use the form or tap a share button, and then their own cookie and privacy policies apply.
How to change your mind
You can change your choice at any time with the cookie settings link on this page. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings; if you block essential cookies, the basket and checkout won’t work.
For how we look after your personal information more generally, see our Privacy Policy. Questions? Contact us.
